Warrenton Walking Homes Tour
A self-guided tour of historic Warrenton, founded in 1779,
is sponsored by Preservation Warrenton, Inc. Tour guides are
available at the Chamber office and local businesses in Warrenton.
A Driving Tour of Warren County
Preservation Warrenton, Inc. has developed a self-guided road
tour of historic homes and sites throughout Warren County.
A numbered guide with a map of historic sites and points of
interest, along with historical facts, is available at the
Chamber office and local business locations.
Norlina Junction Park and Museum
A vintage rail car has been preserved and serves as a museum
displaying many railroad and related artifacts and documents,
which played an important role in the development of Norlina.
Lake Gaston
This lake encompasses 20,000 acres and 350 miles of shoreline
along the North Carolina and Virginia border. It offers boating,
fishing and camping activities as well as private home sites.
Kerr Lake
Kerr Lake covers over 50,000 acres and 800 miles of shoreline
along the North Carolina and Virginia border and is upstream
from Lake Gaston. It features numerous state park campgrounds
and offers boating activities and fishing as well as home
sites.
Lakeland Theatre & Cultural Arts Center
Located in Littleton, Lakeland Theatre & Cultural Arts Center
offers productions of Broadway plays, musicals and concerts
throughout the year. The theatre is located at 411 Mosby Avenue,

Ridgeway Cantaloupe Festival
Known for its cantaloupes, once shipped over the east coast,
the Ridgeway community celebrates this heritage with an annual
festival in the summer, usually in July, which entices visitors
and vendors from far and wide to enjoy food, music and crafts.
The event is sponsored by the Ridgeway Historical Society,
Inc. and the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department.
Haliwa-Saponi Pow-Wow
An annual spring event featuring the heritage of the local
Haliwa-Saponi tribe, with dancing, food and crafts of the
Native American culture. It is located in Hollister. For more

Warren County Fair
The local Lions Club presents the Warren County Fair annually
in the fall. In addition to amusement rides, games and food,
it is an opportunity to see local garden and food exhibits
that have been entered into competition to obtain the first-place
blue ribbon.
